This is the first truck Ive ever owned and I cant say enough about her. This machine has never let me down and made me some extra cash.With the 4.3 liter V6 it is great on gas but sometimes underpowered on long trips with a heavy load but its understandable. She runs like a champ & starts up on the first try every time. My wife prefers to go in the truck everywhere than our family sedan.(gotta say I feel the same).Ive been everywhere with this truck up and down the east coast. She has a big 30 gallon tank so I can just keep going & going. Thought of getting a newer model but I cant part with her. Hats off to GM for this one. Love the simple styling and simplicity of maintaining this truck.

Favorite Features

Easy to work on. Truck styling. Pretty roomy for a regular cab. Ac is ice cold. 8 foot bed gives you so much room to work with. Drives like a car. Reliability and comfort. Great gas mileage.

Suggested Improvements

Should of thought of tie down anchors in the bed by this time. A little more power from the v6. Digital temp control is a little weird, should of made manual controls and um, um, um. Thats it.

Chevy/GMC Upper Control Arm & Knuckle Spacer 4 Kit 8030 a. Measure length of threads on driver and passenger side torsion bar adjusting bolts. Record measurements for proper re-assembly. b. Using J36202 tool, unload torsion bars. c. Remove adjusting bolt and pin from torsion bar adjusters. DO NOT REMOVE torsion bars or torsion bar adjusting arms. 5. Driver side upper control arm & steering knuckle a. Using a hydraulic floor jack, support lower control arm. b. Remove hardware, ball joint, and upper control arm from steering knuckle. c. Remove hardware, D-bolts, adjustment knockouts, and upper control arm from frame. d. Remove ball joint from upper control arm according to vehicle O.E. service manual instructions. e. Repeat above steps for passenger side upper control arm and steering knuckle Install Kit 1. Driver side upper control arm a. Install factory ball joint into kit arm (upper control, driver), rotated 180 degrees from factory installation, with four kit bolts (5/16″ x 1-1/4″) and four kit nuts (5/16″). TORQUE to specifica- tion. NOTE It may be necessary to use a tie rod puller to remove upper control arm ball joint from steering knuckle. b. Apply a small amount of silicone grease to four kit bushings and install into kit arm (upper control, driver). c. Apply a small amount of silicone grease onto two kit sleeves and install into kit arm (upper control, driver). d. Install two kit fittings (grease) into kit arm (upper control, driver). e. Repeat above steps for kit arm (upper control, passenger). 2. Driver side steering knuckle a. Test fit kit spacer (knuckle) onto upper ball joint mount of knuckle. It may be necessary to grind knuckle to fit properly with kit spacer (knuckle) with no gap or clearance between mating surfaces…
